Client Need

The client’s proprietary hardware, running on Linux, needed the ability to setup and operate soft control panels easily via popular consumer mobile devices. Wi-Fi connectivity for an app with an intuitive interface to configure, monitor, and operate an installed router system. Requested features include security levels, premium feature licensing, auto-discovery of connected devices, unlimited device control.

Designing a modern user experience to connect with legacy hardware while providing real-time performance on a mobile device. Extensive system regression testing and systemic QA testing to ensure zero-delay functions executed on multiple devices when sending corresponding RCP3 Protocol packets through socket communications.

delaPlex delivered a highly responsive solution that focuses on a better user experience for remotely controlling proprietary hardware. Wi-Fi connectivity best practice was implemented and virtually eliminates confusing setup and connection failures for complicated equipment. The cross-platform mobile app gives operators real-time status of their entire system, predicts conflicts, and allows quick action to be taken in the event of a failure. A suite of alarms for loss of signal, power supplies, fans, temperature, and cards are displayed for engineers with graphical views of the devices make system-wide management extremely simple.
